Send in a sketch of any BLVN character you want during the sign-up period, and after sign-ups are complete all the entries will be shuffled around and you'll be given someone else's sketch to line/colour/complete in whatever way you wish.

As well as being a fun opportunity to try drawing in a different art style to usual, this will also give you a chance to explore characters and games you don't necessarily know so well.

Theme

For this round of the art rotation collab, the theme is "BLVN love interests"!

The sketch you submit should be of one of the main characters who has their own pursuable route. Use this as a way to show off which one is your favourite option in your chosen game!

Double-ups of games/characters by different participants are completely fine, so feel free to draw whoever you want!

How to Sign Up

Before signing up or starting your sketch, please make sure you have read through and understood everything written on the "Rules" page to make sure your entry will be accepted.

To sign up, send an e-mail to [email protected] containing all of the following information:

★　Twitter username
(this is a twitter-based collab, so we do ask that you provide your username in your sign-up - if you do not wish your username to be made public and want us to post your finished coloured image for you, make a note of it here)

★　Completed sketch
(your sign-up will not be accepted without a sketch attached; please submit as a png file)

★　Character name, title of the BLVN they appear in, and reference image
(please link directly to the official website/tweet if possible, and only attach an image if nothing else is available)

★　Brief description of your character
(in case the person who receives your sketch has not played the game; link to an official one (/a translation) if it's available - keep it short and spoiler-free!!)

★　Notes regarding your sketch
(if there's anything specific you want to make clear about your sketch, or something about the character that might not be clear just from looking at the reference image, mention it here and it will be passed on to the next person)

★　Preferences for received sketch
(we cannot guarantee you'll be matched with exactly what you want, but if there's anything particular you'd like to draw, be it a specific game or a type of art style, we'll try to take it into account)

★　Limitations for received sketch
(if there is a game or character, or a type of art style, that you specifically do not want to be matched up with, list it here and we will make sure to give you something else)

★　Are you willing to be a back-up if someone else drops out?

You will receive an e-mail in response within 24 hours of signing up.

Sign-ups are due JULY 17th, 24:00 GMT (see "deadline" page for timer).
Sketches will be shuffled and sent out shortly after this deadline passes.

Finished images are due AUGUST 7th, 24:00 GMT (see "deadline" page for timer).
These images can either be submitted to us in advance to be posted starting from this time, or posted on your own twitter account and linked to us so we can retweet it.

Rules

★　You can only draw one character in your sketch, and you may only enter one sketch (though if you're keen you're welcome to sign up as a back-up to finish a second sketch if someone has to drop out).

★　For this instance of the art rotation collab, your character choice is limited to BLVN love interests only (as in, characters who have their own pursuable routes). Side characters with one-off endings are not allowed.

★　No NSFW or gore is allowed.

★　You must submit a clean sketch (so the next person is able to work with it easily). We will not accept anything that we deem is not clear enough.

★　No specifications for image size, or whether you draw full-body, half-body, SD style, etc., but please don't make it too complicated for the person finishing your sketch, or too simple/small that the next person doesn't have much to work with. Please contact us if you have specific questions about this.

★　No backgrounds should be done in your sketch (so as not to make it too complicated for the person completing it). You are, however, welcome to add a background as you do the lineart and colour for the sketch you receive, as well as add more detail, as long as you don't significantly alter the original sketch.

★　Both traditional and digital sketches are allowed, though the final lining and colouring should be completed digitally. Sketches should be submitted as a png file.

★　Final lined+coloured images should be submitted before the deadline passes via email as a png file.
(As of this run of the art swap collab, we will no longer be offering the option to post yourself, for consistency and so we can guarantee all pieces will be posted at the same time.)

★　Your drawing should not spoil anything from the plot of the game (as it may be completed by someone who hasn't played).

★　When you submit your sketch, you should also provide a link to a reference for your character (again because it may be completed by someone who hasn't played), if possible from an official source. Preferably, this should be a character sprite, not a CG (so as to avoid spoilers).
If no official reference is available online, we will also accept game screenshots showing a character sprite or similar (N.B. please do not submit CG screenshots or game file rips).
If the recipient wishes to receive further references and doesn't want to look them up on their own for risk of spoilers, we may ask you to provide more at a later date.
